E-commerce development for stores, marketplaces and subscriptions

Commerce platforms built for conversion and volume, on Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom stack, with payments, subscriptions and multi-vendor payouts integrated across regions.

E-Commerce Development by Mercury Sols

An online store earns its keep at checkout. Slow pages, a confusing basket or a payment method your customers do not use will cost more sales than any design choice. We build commerce platforms around that reality, with speed, trust and payment options for each market you sell in.

Depending on your catalogue and plans, we build on Shopify or WooCommerce, or create a custom or headless store on Next.js and Node.js when you need features the platforms cannot offer, such as complex pricing, multi-vendor payouts or a marketplace model.

We integrate the payment methods your customers expect, from Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay to regional gateways in the Middle East and South Asia, and set up tracking so you can see what is selling and where buyers drop off.

What is included

Custom and headless storefronts

Fast storefronts on Next.js connected to Shopify or a custom backend, for brands that want full control of design and performance.

Multi-vendor marketplaces and escrow payments

Seller onboarding, listings, commissions, payouts and held payments released on delivery, with dashboards for buyers, sellers and admins.

Shopify and WooCommerce builds and migrations

New stores, theme customisation and apps, and migrations of products, customers and orders from other platforms without losing search rankings.

Payment gateways, subscriptions and billing

Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay and regional gateways such as Razorpay, Paymob and Telr, plus recurring billing and invoicing.

Checkout optimisation and performance

Shorter checkout flows, guest checkout, faster product pages and fixes for the steps where buyers abandon their basket.

How we work

  1. 01

    Commerce review

We look at your products, markets, payment needs and current store, and choose between Shopify, WooCommerce or custom.

  2. 02

    Store design and catalogue setup

Product structure, categories, filters and page designs that make products easy to find and compare.

  3. 03

    Payments and integrations

Gateways, shipping, tax, inventory and email tools connected and tested with real transactions.

  4. 04

    Launch and growth

Redirects from old URLs, analytics and conversion tracking, then ongoing improvements based on sales data.

Pricing

Every project starts with a free discovery call and a written estimate split into milestones. Choose the model that fits:

  • Fixed-price project. A written scope split into milestones, each with a fixed price and deliverable. Best when requirements are clear.
  • Hourly. Pay for the hours worked, with time tracked and reported. Best for ongoing changes, audits and evolving scope.
  • Dedicated developer or team. Developers assigned to you on a monthly contract, working your business hours as an extension of your team.
  • Maintenance and support. 24/7 monitoring against a 99.9% uptime target, plus fixes, updates and small features after launch, as needed or on a monthly plan.

FAQ

E-Commerce Development questions

What clients usually ask before starting a e-commerce development project with us.

Another question? Email info@mercurysols.org.

Should we use Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom store?

Shopify suits most brands that want a reliable store with little maintenance. WooCommerce fits businesses already on WordPress. Custom or headless makes sense for marketplaces, complex pricing or unusual checkout flows. We recommend one after reviewing your needs.

Can you migrate our existing store?

Yes. We move products, customers and order history, and set up redirects from old URLs so you keep your search rankings.

Which payment methods can you add?

Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus regional gateways such as Razorpay, Paytm, Paymob and Telr. Processing fees are charged by the provider to your account.

Can you build a marketplace with multiple sellers?

Yes. We build seller onboarding, commissions, payouts and escrow-style payments that release funds when an order is delivered, with separate dashboards for each role.

Will the store be fast on mobile?

Yes. Most shoppers buy on their phones, so we design mobile first and test page speed before launch.
